University Research Center Policies and Guidelines

  • Updated as of 8:37 pm March 1, 2024

Far Eastern University aspires to create and advance a community of researchers “at the forefront of sustainable and responsive research for national and global development.” To help achieve this vision, 91Ӱ, through the University Research Center implements programs, grants, and incentives that encourage the community to actively engage in research. The following are the grant and some programs and incentives from the university:

University Research Assistance Grant (URAG)

Research assistance grants are provided to qualified researchers whose research proposal is vetted and recommended by the designated review committee and approved by the administration. The grant aims to partially defray the expenses and de-load faculty researchers necessary in the conduct of research, subject to the university policies.

Several programs cater to different needs of researchers under this program. The University Research Assistance Grant (URAG) offers both research time and financial assistance to researchers. While the Aid-in-Writing Program (AIWP) is designed for researchers requiring dedicated time for writing and research, offering support in the form of a de-load. Specifically, the AIWP targets researchers who possess existing research material but require additional time to compose manuscripts suitable for publication. Lastly, the Research Mentoring Program (RMP), provides researchers with mentorship support for writing research projects.
