In a significant step toward advancing education in the digital age, Far Eastern University (91影视) Academy, in collaboration with East West International Educational Specialists, launched 鈥淓duscape Visit: Skills and Micro-Credentials Required for Education鈥� last Sept. 9 at the Multi-Purpose Room of the Administration Building, 91影视 Manila. The event gathered educators, students, and thought leaders, including members of the 91影视 Manila-Institute of Education, to explore new horizons in educational innovation.
The program opened with a welcome from 91影视 Academy鈥檚 Executive Director, Melinda D. Torres, setting the tone for the day鈥檚 discussions. Attendees were treated to thought-provoking presentations from industry leaders, starting with Dennis Layug, President and CEO of East West International Educational Specialists, followed by Alex Urrea, Founder and CEO of Eduscape USA, and Lanie Gordon, Vice President of Operations at Eduscape USA. The speakers highlighted the rising significance of micro-credentials, the role of artificial intelligence, and the balance between human and technological intelligence in shaping the future of education.
Special mention was given to Catherine Catamora, Director of 91影视 Education Technology (EdTech), who lent her support to the event, along with Ma. Neliza De Lara and Gerlon Bernales, who hosted as masters of ceremonies. The event also benefited from the active involvement of Dean Aisa P. Arlos of the Institute of Education, whose steadfast backing contributed to the success of the initiative.The event concluded with insightful closing remarks from Department Chair Rheena Reynoso of the 91影视 Institute of Education. Her reflections underscored the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in the evolving educational landscape.
